Hudson County Complete Streets Receives $25,000 Grant from New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at Rutgers University

[Hudson County, USA] - Hudson County Complete Streets, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting safe and equitable access to transportation infrastructure in Hudson County, announced today that it has received a $25,000 grant from the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at Rutgers University. The grant will be used to fund several community projects aimed at improving transportation options and accessibility in the region.

"We are honored to receive this grant from the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at Rutgers University, which recognizes our commitment to promoting sustainable transportation practices," said Johan Andrade, Vice President of Hudson County Complete Streets. "With this funding, we will be able to raise awareness about our county’s Complete Streets resolution, Vision Zero Action Plan, BRT studies, and opportunities for safe infrastructure such as multi-use cycle paths and other traffic calming measures."

"The grant will also support educational campaigns and outreach programs to promote safer transportation practices and encourage active transportation options, such as biking and walking," said Emmanuelle Morgen, President of Hudson County Complete Streets. "We believe that these initiatives will make a significant impact on the safety and accessibility of our transportation infrastructure, and we look forward to working with our community partners to make them a reality."

This effort is funded in part by the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Hudson County Complete Streets is committed to working with community partners, local officials, and residents to create a safer, more accessible, and more sustainable transportation system for everyone in Hudson County. This grant will help the organization continue to make progress towards that goal.
